Ray bit his lip as Ryan nodded off, and stayed in the room the entire surgery, right by his side. The surgery took longer than expected. His skull almost..shattered, and they needed to put in a metal plate. Ray winced when he was told that, but a plate was put in and all was well.
He was told the other man would wake up soon, and was stationed in his room. Worry and fear kept him awake, and Ryan was out for almost a full day. He musta gotten some powerful anesthetics. He fell asleep somewhere around 10:30am the next day, head rested near his arm.
He was nudged awake and sat straight up, eyes wide with fear. “I-I’m sorry, I-I..” He saw who woke him and let out a breath. “Holy shit, /Ryan/.”
Ryan chuckled softly at Ray’s response. “Good morning.” He looked around, searching for some sort of indication of the time. He saw nothing though, so his eyes returned to Ray’s face. “How long have I been out?” A thought occurred to him that Ray might’ve been waiting for him to wake up for hours. A strange heat filled Ryan’s cheeks, but he ignored it.
