Ray let out a yelp and was dragged along with Ryan and the gurney as they were pulled down a hallway. “Y-You’re in the hospital, Ryan.” He attempted to pull the older man’s hand from his shirt, and gave up after a moment.
“We were called after you were found unconscious in your bathroom. You, supposedly, broke your arm and fractured your skull. You also cut your arm wide open, so..” His voice fathered at the end and he grabbed Ryan’s wrist.
Ryan tried to process what Ray said. He glanced down at himself, trying to move his arms. His right one screamed in pain, refusing to move even an inch. His left one, the one grasping at Ray, was a red blur. “I…I don’t…” Ryan closed his eyes, trying to think. “I don’t remember.”
Suddenly, his head began to throb, and Ryan groaned, hand clenching. He tried to say something but all he could concentrate on was the feeling of someone taking a jackhammer to his head. “Ray…"
