Ryan’s head ached so bad. He blinked, trying to remember where he was, what he had had been previously doing, but nothing computed in his head. Above him blurry shapes moved in a harsh white light. He could feel himself moving, but where? Where was he?

Pain sparked in his temples, and he groaned, shutting his eyes. He felt himself being lifted and moved, felt a sharp jolt of pain on his forearm. And then he heard  a voice, one he recognized.

“Ryan?”
